MAKE HASTE WHILE THE SUN SHINES
Led by the gracious hand of the Lord, I returned safely to Wuhan after residing in Guangzhou for half a year. In July 1954, there was a heavy downpour of rain along the banks of Chiangjiang (also named Yangtze River), and the safety of the 3 cities of Wuhan was threatened by the worst flooding in 100 years. All the people and resources were directed towards the preventive and safety measures, and the summer retreat that was earlier planned for all Christian students in the entire area had to be cancelled.
After the water had receded, the Lord arranged for sister Hong and brother Gu to accompany me to Shanghai.
